World of Warcraft – Item Upgrading The upgrade of an item allows players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln. Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading. Additionally, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus could be more than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own. The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one. The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually beneficial but it can also have negative consequences too. This means that it is able to reduce its value. The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, along with their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number. A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status. Armor Making a few improvements to your armor can make a huge difference in your ability to endure. It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask. You can also get some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In some cultures a trinket can be used to express friendship or affection between family members. Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions.
